Did you attend college? Where?

Yes, University of Colorado - Boulder and got a degree in Finance. I also recently earned a Master of Accounting from the University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom.

What are you doing now? Career/Family/Location

I am an active-duty Naval Officer working in Washington, D.C. where I am stationed at the Navy's Nuclear Propulsion Program. I serve as the Financial Manager for the Fast Attack and Ballistic Missile Submarine Programs. I married my incredible wife, Lauren, in 2019 and last year we added a Bernedoodle puppy to our family (Teddi).

Favorite memory or staff member of Legend High School. Favorite memory or staff member of Legend High School.

My favorite memory at Legend was winning the 3A State Championship in Ice Hockey my Junior year. It was only the second year that the team had been in existence and I had so much fun competing with my friends (I also think it was the school’s first state championship)! My favorite staff member was my guidance counselor, Danny Winsor. He was always honest with me and pushed me to work harder or aim higher. I am incredibly grateful for the guidance he provided me.

Advice to current high school students.

Have fun but also take the time to figure out what’s important to you. Set goals, ask for help, and work hard. Whether it’s sports, classes, or setting yourself up for college or a career, remember that you own your destiny so put the work in to get what you want!

How did Legend prepare you for your future?

My freshmen year at Legend I thought that I could luck my way into getting good grades or doing well at sports, but through the advice of my teachers and coaches, I realized that I had to put the effort in, turn my priorities around, and think about the future life that I wanted to create for myself.
