Students who did not pass a course during the academic year who wants to recover the credit may attend LHS Summer School. Douglas County School District has received Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ESSER) funds from the federal government and is utilizing this money to fund our sessions. Therefore, summer school is free for the 22-23 school year.

Legend is offering two sessions for summer school. Session one will run 5/31-6/30. Session two is from 7/3 to 7/20. Both sessions will be offered virtually through Edgenutiy. Edgenuity is a self-paced, online learning platform. Teachers will be available during June for in person office hours (Tuesday and Thursday from 8-11). Virtual office hours will be available as well.

Students may take up to two CORE courses and earn .5 credits for successful completion of each summer semester course (passing with a D or above).

This credit can be earned and will be placed on the students transcript, it will NOT replace the F on their transcript.

Please email Sean Farley, the Summer School Principal, at [email protected] or call 303-387-4525 for more detailed information about the summer semester program.  If you have other questions regarding your students credits, please contact your student’s advisor.
