Senior Check-Out / Senior Assembly / Yearbooks

Seniors will return to school on Wednesday, May 11, to participate in the Senior Assembly, Senior Checkout, and receive their yearbooks. More details will be provided as we get closer to the date, but in general, students should plan to be at school on that morning from 9:00 - 11:00 a.m.

Checkout forms will be distributed to seniors during Titan Time (homeroom) the last week of April. Seniors will then have until May 11 to gather signatures and complete the form. Obligations include:

  • returning books and materials to teachers and the Library

  • paying fines and fees

  • returning athletic equipment

  • obtaining signatures from teachers of all currently scheduled classes, and securing necessary signatures on the form

There are no checks accepted. Please check now for any fees owed in My School Bucks. All fees must be paid online prior to Senior Checkout. The completed check-out form is required for participation in graduation. If you are participating in the ceremony for graduation, you must have a completed Code of Conduct Agreement on file in order to officially check out and receive graduation tickets.

Final Check-Out means every senior:

  • Has met all graduation credit requirements

  • Has a completed Code of Conduct Agreement on file

  • Has a completed final check-out form with all required signatures

  • Has paid all fees and fines

When the check-out form is reviewed and approved, the seniors will receive their cap and gown, as well as the complimentary graduation tickets for admission to the graduation ceremony. Admission to EchoPark Stadium in Parker is by ticket only -- all adults and school-age children must have a ticket to enter. Each senior will receive 10 tickets to graduation.

The Senior Assembly is a special assembly in honor of all seniors. The senior assembly is a time to reflect upon the past four years and express gratitude to special people at school who have made made a difference in each senior's life. It's a time of laughter and tears and will include a special "senior farewell walk". To accommodate our student body and the entire staff in the gym, the assembly is only for students and staff of Legend and invited guests from our feeder schools. Thank you for adhering to this request.

1 p.m. Graduation Rehearsal

EchoPark Stadium
11901 Newlin Gulch Blvd, Parker

All seniors who plan to participate in the graduation ceremony MUST attend graduation rehearsal -- no exceptions!

Seniors must be in attendance for the duration of the rehearsal. All seniors must be at EchoPark Stadium in Parker by 1:00 p.m. and sitting in their assigned seat. Please dress accordingly for the weather (i.e. sunscreen, hat, shorts, water). This is a casual dress event. We expect to be done with rehearsal by 2:00 p.m. There is a chance that rehearsal could be held on May 18th instead due to multiple graduation ceremonies at the stadium at the stadium. We will communicate ASAP if this date change becomes necessary.

6:30 p.m. Senior Convocation

Southeast Christian Church
9650 Jordan Road, Parker

Senior Honors Convocation is an evening to recognize members of the Class of 2022 for academic achievement. All seniors who will be recognized during the evening will receive an invitation to attend and are to meet at Southeast Christian Church at 5:45 p.m. This invitation will come in early May.

Dress code for the evening for males:

This is the same dress code for graduation. Over their clothes, Seniors who are being honored are to wear their graduation gown, which they will receive at the senior checkout. Please do not bring your graduation cap.

FRIDAY, MAY 20 at 10 a.m.

EchoPark Stadium
11901 Newlin Gulch Blvd, Parker

Graduating seniors are to be dressed appropriately (as outlined in the Code of Conduct Agreement) in their cap and gown and are to be at EchoPark Stadium between 9:00 a.m. - 9:15 a.m. Friday morning. Only the stoles and cores provided by Legend will be allowed to be worn by the graduates. Any other personal embellishment will be taken and held for students to pick up after the ceremony. Seniors are to leave cell phones, purses, sunglasses, and other items at home or with family members.

Gates will open at 9:00 a.m. for open seating at EchoPark Stadium. Seating is on a first-come, first-serve basis as there is no reserved seating. Handicapped seating is available on both sides of the stadium. Handicapped parking is available at 2 of the 3 entrances for graduation, each student will know which side they are entering from, sitting on, and which podium their name is being read from. Please ask your student this information after rehearsal so you can be sure to see them as much as possible during the ceremony. Both sides of the stadium will be used for seating. There will also be a seating map on our graduation webpage on the Legend High School website after rehearsal.

Photos will be taken of the graduates by Lifetouch Photography. There will be formal pictures taken as the graduates are in line for graduation check-in. The pictures will be available after graduation.  We will have information available on our website for ordering once Lifetouch has the link ready. Graduations will be streamed live via the Douglas County School District Communications Department. LIVE STREAM LINK

Immediately following the ceremony, graduates are escorted to an area on the track to pick up their official diploma. The process takes approximately 10 minutes. During this time, we ask that all family members remain in the stands to allow students to receive their actual diploma. Legend staff members will invite you to the field or track area after 10 minutes. We appreciate in advance your kindness, consideration, and patience on this day.

We anticipate the ceremony to be approximately 2 hours for your planning purposes. In the event of incliment weather, the ceremony may be delayed, yet still performed at the stadium. The Legend High School website will be the avenue for communication regarding any changes pertaining to the graduation ceremony.

If you have any questions about graduation, please contact Mrs. Farley.
