Final Exams Protocol
at Legend High School

We want to communicate our protocols for final exams at Legend High School. Please take a moment to review these important details.

Bus Transportation
Buses will drop off students at school during their normal time in the morning. There is no transportation provided for students once the half day is completed unless your student is a special needs student.

Buses will run their normal after school pick-up if a student is unable to find transportation home after the half day schedule during finals. If a student needs to stay at school to wait for transportation at the end of the day, they will need to be in the commons area. Nutrition services will not be providing any lunches on these days so students would need to bring their own lunch.

Legend Finals Protocols
No early finals. Finals must be completed within the Legend High School finals schedule. If a student does not complete finals during that time due to an excused absence then an “I” (incomplete) will be placed in the grade book for that class and the student will have the first two weeks of second semester to work with the teacher to get final made up.

No travel during finals. Students are required to be in the teachers classroom at all times. Only a pass from the office for dismissal from class. Bathroom use is for emergency situations only.

No early dismissal from Finals. Students are required to be in the teacher's classroom even if finals are complete. Teachers are responsible for students' attendance in an emergency situation. If students are released early and there is an emergency situation then the teacher would be held liable for that student.

No movies or parties during finals. Finals should be sacred for demonstration of learning in teachers classes and not seen as a celebration.

Infinite Campus Grade Book Information

Infinite Campus Grade Book will be shut down starting at 4 p.m. on May 18th until May 27th at noon. Grades for students should be updated in the IC grade book prior to finals week. We want to create a calm atmosphere for students and teachers during finals week. Students should have a good understanding where their grade is prior to taking their final exam so they can prepare appropriately. Turning off Infinite Campus allows students to focus on each day of finals and not worrying about the test they just finished. The week can be a grind for students and we want them to have the focus needed for each class throughout the week.

Please encourage your students to eat the right foods, drink plenty of water and get the right amount of rest during finals week. Plan study times accordingly. That is the purpose of the half day schedule. Help your student build a schedule of when they are going to study for which classes so that they feel prepared to give their best effort!

Summer School
Katy Nicholls will be the administrator in charge of summer school. Her contact is [email protected].

It has been an excellent school year! We hope that your families enjoy the summer and get a chance to spend some quality time together!
