Credit Recovery
Edgenuity Online Credit Recovery
Legend offers online credit recovery through Edgenuity for core and elective graduation requirements. This is currently offered to Seniors and Algebra I students who have not passed. Students can access their courses through Canvas and can work on these classes from home, during Seminar or during an off hour in the library. Students needing credit recovery may be contacted by their advisor to take these classes, but parents are encouraged to reach out to the advisor for more information. If your student has any questions, please reach out to the coordinator below.
NOTE: The record of both classes will remain on the student's transcript. Credit will be awarded for the Edgenuity class to recover the credits, and both grades will be calculated into the student's GPA.
Grade Replacement
A record of both classes, along with the corresponding grades, will remain on the student's transcript. The first class will show "course repeated". No credit will be awarded, nor will the grade for the first class be factored into the GPA. The second class will bear credit and be factored into a student's GPA.
In order for a course to be eligible for grade replacement, it must meet the following:
- a teacher-led course
- the course must have the identical course number or the equivalent eDCSD course.
No substitutions or outside courses will be accepted for Grade Replacement purposes.
