Personalized Learning

The Special Education Department adheres to the philosophy that each individual with a disability is entitled to the support necessary to maximize his/her potential. Every child deserves to receive the best education possible, regardless of special needs. Being placed in the least restrictive environment, gaining necessary life skills and learning how to relate and communicate with people from different walks of life is imperative to the academic growth and success of any student. We are an all-inclusion school by applying one of the three best practices: in-class support, co-teaching and consultation with classroom teachers. A major component of the program is to facilitate a successful “transition” from school to community. The program will prepare our students for continuing education, and the world of work through career education, vocational training, and/or work experience.
